Nandos takes a bite out of MTN

So we all know that cell c took a dig at vodacoms new turning red campaign, they are even in a bit of hot water on the legal side of things for airin this ad against vodacom.

Now from the people who i thought would have jumped on the bandwagon as soon as the cellc vodacom ad was aired, Nandos has taken a brilliant stab at MTN a service provider who hasnt been involved in the cellc/vodacom drama

What exactly has NANDOS done here?

MTN advertising is indeed yellow, but the sneaking reference to them being chicken is yet another example of Nando’s thinking out the box.

The text at the bottom of the ad reads - "now that we know the colour of every cellular network out there,can we move on already? we have better things to do with our mouths"

The Cell C add that has pissed of Vodacom

So by now we all know that vodacom has changed its colours and have undergone a slight face lift, they have turned red. I really dont see how turning red is going to change the useless service they give there customers but hey, thats why we let brands like cell c have a go at them and provide us with some sort of entertainment. There are also some other leading brands like Virgin that have used this "change" to their advertising advantage.
Now vodacom is filing a complaint with the avertising standards authority, shame vodacom i bet you wish you had a marketing and advertising department like nandos and cell c, the best your team came up with was a dancing meerkat!
